hi. i´m brazilian. Açai is used to ENERGY and antioxidant but has a lot calories. I don´t believe it´s used to fat burner…

Açai que eu saiba é muito energético, e agora descobriram que tem muito mais anti oxidantes que a uva. Mas é altamente calórico. usar como emagrecedor ou queimador de gordura deve ser mentira…

I bet these “fat-burners” they sell as “açaí” have little to do with the real fruit. People are probably paying for chemicals with a drop of açaí juice in them. Everybody in Brazil knows that açaí is very calorical and has lots of fat. It has it’s benefits, but still, it’s just a fruit, it won’t make any miracles.

By the way, here you can buy the actual stuff for 1,00US$ for a 300ml cup, why people should pay over 50$ for supplements that have little to do with açaí? Just marketing..

It’s an American thing, people here are easily taken by health marketing. Acai is very very cheap in Brazil, so companies in the USA import the berries and sell them as some sort of “miracle” food. These companies’ profit margins are obscene. The public – often the people selling the products through MLM – are none the wiser. One has an exasperating time trying to inform people that these companies are taking advantage of their provincial ignorance of economics, science, and the fruit itself.

I had to go across the street and have a bowl of real açaí myself after this video delicious and cost me 2,00US$, but I doubt I lost any weight Cheers!
